DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP)

A Davidson County man has been charged after he allegedly stole jewelry from a home and attempted to sell it at local jewelry stores.

On Jan. 20, deputies began investigating a larceny of jewelery from a home on Holiday Dr. in Welcome. Officials said six rings of various styles were stolen from the home.

Following an investigation, officials determined the rings were sold at local jewelery stores by Cody Lee Swain, 23, of Welcome.

Swain was charged with felony larceny and obtaining property by false pretense. He was arrested and taken before a magistrate where he received a $10,000 secured bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Lexington District Court on March 22.
