(WWLP) - You have only three more shopping days before Christmas, a very busy time for jewelry stores. On Tuesday, 22News visited DeGrandpre Jewelers in Easthampton and they said that they always have a last minute rush of men buying gifts for the important ladies in their lives. So far, they said that sales have been steady. That is a good sign that the local economy could be bouncing back. At DeGrandpre Jewelers, they have a feature that helps men with their gift selection; they have a wish list. "Throughout the course of the year, we have ladies drop hints of what they want and put it on the back wall for the guy and they come in and pick something out," DeGrandpre Jewelers owner Mark DeGrandpre said. Jewelry sales are up nationally this year, which is a good indicator of how Christmas sales should be across the retail industry.
