| Record on the Road: St. Thomas Posted: 29 May 2010 11:18 PM PDT St. Thomas is a wonderful getaway. We stayed at the Holiday Inn, which allowed us to walk into town to visit many little shops, restaurants and galleries as well as Main Street, where we discovered many fabulous jewelry stores. Everyone was extremely friendly and anxious to hear about New Jersey! Tip: Rather than stay at a remote resort where you need to take a taxi everywhere, we would recommend staying right in town where you can walk to everything, including the ferry to St. John, where you can spend the day discovering more gorgeous beaches, galleries and shops.
